For 25 years, the legend of the Far West Coast of South Australia was none other than Sam Madonna, a giant of a man in many ways and anyone that met him held him in the highest regard. Unfortunately, Sam became ill in 2006 and retired from Sam's Far West Coast Fishing Tours - a business built up over many years with a record for catching 1000's of fish, some absolute giants, more consistently than any other place in South Australia.
Many of the people that have been on tours with Sam over the years might even ask, what's changed since he retired?

Sam's Far West Coast Fishing Tours came under new management in February 2007. The new owner, Steve Wade, is a well known and keen fisher in his own right and vowed never to spoil the magic, the mystery and the mayhem that gave "Sam's" the legendary reputation it so rightly deserved. Steve himself did many tours with Sam over more than 7 years and nearly all of his "biggest" and "firsts" were taken as a customer at Fowlers Bay so he knows, and remembers, what made and still makes Sam's Far West Coast Fishing Tours such an incredible fishing adventure.
Yes, we still catch the same solid samsons, crazy kingfish and tearaway tuna we always have. Snapper and nannygai are still taken in numbers that will leave you incredulous. Massive groper, blue morwong and sharks still feel the strain of tight lines and big hooks.
While constructing this new site, we've gone to great lengths to show only the fish and testimonials from clients that have been on tour with Steve and his team since February 2007. That way you can see for yourself that we're still doing our best to be what "Sam's" has always been - a great place to kick back, have a great time and get some real fishing done!
Put simply, Sam's Far West Coast Fishing Tours, despite the change in ownership, still has what it takes to turn your fishing dreams into a reality!
