Travel Information
For those coming by plane or bus
- PLANE: It's an easy choice, there's only one airline - Regional Express
- BUS: Again, easy choice, only one bus service - Premier Stateliner country bus service
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PLANE/BUS TRAVELLERS
- We will provide transport to and from Ceduna, just make sure we know about it!
- It's best to book early - if you miss a days fishing because there are no seats we cannot be held responsible and no refunds will be available!!
- Plane/bus times should be booked to be a PM arrival (the day before your tour commences) and an AM departure (the day after your tour finishes). We may not be available to pick up/deliver if you decide to do it differently! Any exceptions must be negotiated BEFORE booking your tickets! You may find yourself waiting a long time or worse, stranded !!
- Disadvantages of plane/bus travel is weight allowance and length of fishing rods. Taking fish out is also troublesome. We can arrange for fish to be freighted out of Ceduna but we will need advance notice so that we may secure ample fish boxes. Freight fees apply.
- You can road freight your fishing rods to Port Lincoln well in advance and we will take them to Fowlers Bay and return them to you. Fees apply.

For those coming by car
Again, this is a long haul but you have the flexibility of carrying more gear in as well as taking more fish out. Any decent map will show the way but essentially you
need to head towards Perth (if from the east) until you hit Ceduna. You then continue towards Perth for approximately 120km until you see the Fowlers Bay sign.
You'll have about 5kms of bitumen and another 15kms of dirt to reach the bay.
If coming from the west, after passing Nundroo you can take the Coorabie/Fowlers Bay turnoff about 2kms out of town. It's all dirt from the turnoff (approx 30kms).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR DRIVERS
- Any early morning/night travel in this area is likely to have encounters with roos and wombats. Please use caution when driving under these conditions, even more so on the dirt!
- Dirt road conditions are variable but you can generally expect some heavy corrugation in places.
- After heavy and/or consistent rain (which is not often!), sections of the dirt roads can be extremely slippery, particularly where they cross saltpans/depressions.
- Diesel is but petrol is NOT available at Fowlers Bay. Your last fuel stops are at Penong if coming from the east or Nundroo if coming from the west.
If you are familiar with using Google Earth, the map below shows where we are in Fowlers Bay. You can't really get lost but if you do, pop in and see Lexy at the kiosk and she'll point you in the right direction.
